Not only the products of STS convince through efficiency, but also the value-added process is oriented towards sustainability through energy efficiency and resource conservation. Despite the increasing growth in sales, energy purchases for electricity and gas have been almost halved in recent years through the following measures:
MEASURES
Building insulation new construction is far above the legal requirements
The new ventilation systems have an energy recovery of over 90 % both in heating mode in winter and in cooling mode in summer
LED lighting controlled by motion detectors and brightness sensors
The waste heat from the air compressors and vacuum pumps is used in combination with a heat pump for heating and domestic hot water
The roof of the new hall was completely covered with PV modules. Of the electricity generated, 90 % can be used in-house. The share of the total electricity consumption is approx. 20 %.
